Yeager Award

Brigadier General Charles E. "Chuck" Yeager Award

The Yeager Award for Senior Members is self-paced and is based on the CAP text, Aerospace: The
Journey of Flight, Third Edition. All senior members are encouraged to read and become knowledgeable with the content of this text. The text covers such topics as: introduction to the history of airpower, principles of flight, the aerospace community, weather, rockets, and space. Once members are ready to take the Yeager test online, they have the option of open book or closed book. Members must score 70% to pass the test. After successful completion of the Yeager test, members can print a copy of the Certificate of Completion on their computer. Completion of the Yeager award is automatically placed in the member’s record at NHQ. After successful completion of the Yeager test, members are authorized to wear the Yeager ribbon.

Aerospace Education Officer's 2020 Challenge

Capt Bob Ross has graciously offered to host a Squadron 128 dinner at Buca di Beppo in Encino for everyone who simply attempts the Yeager Award test. That’s how certain we are that if anyone takes the test – using the summary – you WILL pass it!!!
